Do you want to further your career and boost your potential? An unrivalled opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer working in the Premier Accounts department. You will be involved in selecting appropriate solutions to match identified needs for some of the largest clients. You will also be providing technical information and support to assist Premier Account Directors in achieving revenue objectives.

The company's comprehensive solutions and service portfolio ranges from virtual private networks (VPNs), network services and application services to security solutions and hosting. Our client is moving forward with network enhancements and business process enhancements that will provide the foundation for next-generation services and a consistently excellent customer experience.

Your main responsibilities will involve

  • Providing high quality technical support within the Premier Accounts sales unit
  • Taking joint ownership of assigned accounts with Premier Account Directors and Premier Account Managers
  • Working together with the US Premier account teams in a virtual team to support the customers on a worldwide basis
  • Designing customer networks based on broad set of technologies
  • Providing technical proposals to RFP's, RFI's and ITT's
  • Conversing with customers about emerging technologies and telecommunication strategies
  • Developing an understanding of customer's short, medium and long tern telecommunications needs in order to protect, retain and increase revenues

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include

  • Cisco certification CCDP or CCIP, Checkpoint certification, MSCE or equivalent
  • Educated to Degree level (BSc / MSc) or equivalent in Engineering or Telecommunications
  • Background in sales Managerial history with established industry experience
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge demonstrating skill set in voice, data and IP areas
  • Knowledge of both in-country and international competitors, market leading products and vendors
  • General technology understanding with focus on satellite and mobile as well as optical technology understanding with focus on SDH and DWDM
  • Dutch and English to a business standard

What we will be looking for in you

For the role of Sales Engineer you will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on your ability to be confident. You need to be able to manage your workload effectively in order to maximise productivity. It is important that you work well in a team and have good commercial and business finance awareness. You should also be analytical in your thinking with a thorough and consistent approach.
